Real-World Background & Specifications:
Track-Focused Origins:
The 1996 Ferrari F50 GT was developed from the road-going F50 for international GT racing. Built in collaboration with Dallara and ATR, only three units were produced. Key upgrades include a 4.7L V12 engine (551 kW/750 hp, 10,500 rpm redline), a carbon-fiber lightweight body (860 kg dry weight), and a sequential gearbox. The car lapped Ferrari’s Fiorano test track faster than the 333 SP Le Mans prototype but was canceled as the brand prioritized Formula 1.
