Charmeleon

Charmeleon is inspired by a dinosaur and a salamander, with a more reptilian and muscular appearance compared to Charmander. Its name combines "char" (related to burning) and "chameleon," though its design leans more toward a dragon. The flame on its tail burns more intensely as it grows stronger.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Charmeleon cannot be found in the wild. It must be obtained by evolving Charmander, which is one of the three starter Pokémon available at the beginning of the game. Trainers can evolve Charmander into Charmeleon by leveling it up to level 16.

Charmeleon serves as a mid-stage evolution, balancing offense and speed. Its Fire typing makes it effective against Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel, and Fairy-type Pokémon, but it remains vulnerable to Water, Ground, and Rock-type moves. It evolves into the powerful Charizard, which excels in both offense and versatility.
