Squirtle

Squirtle is inspired by a small turtle with a blue shell and a nozzle-like mouth. Its name combines "squirt" (to eject liquid) and "turtle." In the Pokémon anime and lore, Squirtle is often depicted as a playful and mischievous Pokémon, famously leading a squad of Squirtle "firefighters" in the series.

Obtaining Squirtle in BDSP
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Squirtle is not available as a starter Pokémon or through regular wild encounters. Trainers cannot obtain Squirtle directly in the base game of BDSP, as the starters are Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig. However, Squirtle may be obtainable in BDSP through special events, distributions, or via Pokémon HOME transfers from other games where it is available.
