Zapdos

Zapdos is one of the original "Three Legendary Bird Pokémon" from Generation I, alongside Articuno and Moltres. It is depicted as a majestic, lightning-themed Pokémon with yellow and orange plumage, capable of generating thunderstorms as it flies. According to legend, Zapdos resides in thunderclouds and is said to bring rain to dry regions, earning it the title Embodiment of Thunderclouds.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Zapdos cannot be encountered directly in the wild. Similar to Articuno, players must link their game with a compatible GBA version or use WiFi connectivity to transfer the Pokémon into BDSP. This aligns with its status as a rare, mythical Pokémon unavailable in the Sinnoh region’s native wild encounters.

Zapdos has appeared in numerous Pokémon anime episodes and films, such as Pokémon: The Power of One. Its striking design and association with electricity make it a fan-favorite, symbolizing power and unpredictability in the Pokémon universe.
